What's the best screen wash to use? I have been using Halfords own brand but its not doing a great job of cleaning the grime from the window and it gets dirty quickly when driving on motorways!

Try the one shot stuff, little bottle with a red cap, luminous green liquid

That's the stuff that's often in petrol stations on the counter, right?

In this weather your getting oily crap chucked up for traffic in front. The best bet is to clean the windscreen as often as possible. Normally I put well above the recommended mix on screen wash, I find it works best then.

I find if I put too much soapy smears remain on the screen.

I use holts screen wash, grand stuff. Tried a lot of others too and found them either too soapy, rubbish or intoxicating

It does help that I go and clean the windscreen with windowlene as often as it needs it :)

Holts is the stuff alright. Always carry a supply of it.

Topaz seem to always stock it. Same price as their own brand one but far superior imo.

Thanks. Must use up the halfords muck I have in the screen wash at the moment and then pop in some of that.

The halfords stuff just smears the bug guts and then leaves soap scum behind :(
