Hardrive Detecting Help

    I am using Windows 8 with a 1TB HDD and a 120GB SSD its my first time using a solid sate drive so im not really sure what to do, when I go to my computer my HDD does not show up:

    I know there's something you have to do and I can't find a tutorial on Youtube.

    Had the same problem after my build. See Marco Polo's reply here. Worked for me.

    It wasn't unformatted, I just needed to assign a drive letter.

    Ive assigned a drive letter and Im pretty sure it formatted. Im trying to install avast and it says "You cannot install in that folder" when I select my HDD
    I don't know if these pictures will help.

    Is it because the folder doesn't exist? Have you tried creating a program folder to see if that helps? Haven't had the problem myself.
