This is what happens when you contract in the form of interns / students / job-bridge for work that actually needs to be done professionally. The news station has no-one but themselves to blame.

Absolutely reprehensible stuff on an incident which claimed three lives and fucked up countless more.

The station knew what it was doing. Looking for publicity.

They were relying on the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) for the accuracy of their information, so the blame lies as much with them (NTSB).

The NTSB are not an organisation that deals with inaccuracies. Some-one from the news organisation typed those 'names'. The NTSB didn't send over a ready made slide to broadcast ffs.

EDIT: Just read the article, on a previous article it said the intern was from the news station. Either way, can't believe it was read out on air.

Read out by a newsreader called Sil Lee Bich.

The intern may come to regret doing it but it is a pretty epic prank.

If you think this is bad you had better brace yourself for the inevitable jokes about the girl(s) who were (allegedly) run over by emergency services.

I couldn't think of anything less funny but I would never try to stop those who try to find some humour in these awful situations.

I read this in the Sindo today, have to admit, I did snorfle a little bit. But, the bit about the teenager actually getting run down and killed by the fire-truck, that's just fecked up.

A truck racing to tackle the blaze hit a passenger fleeing the blaze, seemingly. Unless the Sindo got taken like the newsreader did^.

And the Koreans fights back :pac:

A Korean news agency responds to KTVU's fuck up during their coverage of Southwest Flight 345's nose gear collapse after landing in LaGuardia last week.

*Note* There's a really annoying computer speaking in the background, just turn off the volume
