OH will be putting his car up for sale shortly... however as they are quite rare in Southern Ireland he doesn't know what to put as asking price.

2005 - 6 speed manual golf gt tdi.
    Approx 130,000 miles.

    Any advice?

Given the artificial inflation of diesel cars at the moment, I make them in the €8.2k range. But that seems a little high to me personally.

Overall, they are not that rare. I'd see one every other day of the week.

It's over the magical 100k mark, I would say put if for €7k max, might get €6500 for it.

8 year old Golf TDi with 130k miles, 6k sounds right if a little on the high side to me tbh...

Young lads will pay silly money for that car once they can insure it.

golfs hold their price well but 130k miles is heavy going for an 05. i would not pay more than 4.5k for it but i would put it up for 6k and see how it goes.

a full service history will probably get closer to the asking price.

130,000 miles on an 8 year old diesel car is just over 16,000 miles per year. I would consider that average mileage for a diesel car of that age.
