My bro had the inside of his car kitted out in various colour leds hooked up to various switches. It was like a night club in there. Bit of tinting and you can't really tell. Dunno the legalities but switch them off if you see a guard just incase.

Not road legal as most will say on packet off road us.
    Shows etc.
Even the HID xenon conversions most have fitted to standard type headlights are illegal.

Inside do what you like once not beaming out e.g lasers.

their just the front dome lights and the passenger overhead ones id like to replace, they would only be lit when car doors are opened, wanted to get blue ones but wasn't sure of the law on them

If they are white then that is ok of they were blue, green etc then that would e a problem.

One down side to brighter is you make it easier to read.

They are white with a very light tinge of blue just standard led not some weird colour. I remember one night a few months back a gaurd followed me 10 miles I was heading home looked as if he was going to motorway and never stopped me and I'm sure he knew they were led quite obvious. It's really the only place I would them on the outside I wouldn't be bother to change parking lights etc. alot of the new focus etc seem to have an led number plate light as standard just going by the look of them at night.

They do along with the BMW and some others.
The focus only has one light so thats probably why they fitted the brighter option honestly look so much better.
