AC recharge.

Okay, so I thought I will hold on and wait for this heat to get over, but now I am really ready to pay or do the thing to get AC recharged, nothing worse then leaving work, getting into a car which was under sun for few hours, and feeling like you're sitting in sauna and even worse - city center traffic so you sit roasting there for hours, and even if you do reach speed of 60+ km/h the hot air blows into your face, only way to cool down is go on motorway 100 km/h only then I get feeling of bit cooling down.

So my car is bmw e46, and I heard there are some kind of recharge kits? I saw video on youtube of guy doing it and it doesn't seem anything hard? any experience with this? I don't need AC that will work or hold for next 5 years, something literally for a week or two. Any suggestions?

Right now when I turn AC on nothing changes, I mean hot air keeps blowing in as it was but RPM changes a bit.

    Any suggestions on this?

Webste says it's only for AXA members?

Also: any places around Dublin that do this? and how much on average is it?

Fast fit crumlin, old county road. Don't think they care who you are insured with, just ring first to be sure that their machine is fully gassed itself.

The other option is to head to halfrauds and they have a kit which consists of a yoke that attaches to the ac system and a cylinder of gas that attaches to the yoke and you can DIY. The halfrauds kit runs at about €70 I think with a tenner back if you return the empty cylinder.

AFAIK it's an extra tenner if you don't have an AXA plus card. You could try telling them you left it at home.

Try to get insurance with AXA and as soon as you get the disc, cancel it.:D
(might even still have one of those, was with AXA years ago...0
    PS:
Anyone know a good aircon center in Limmers? Mine's blowing a bit lukewarm.

Could be a number of issues. http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-Your-Car%27s-Air-Conditioner

p.s. It seems every possible problem known is happening with this old nail of a Bmw. Is it perhaps even worse than AF's Puma?

Only got it done Monday, it's €39 without the Axa card, the extra tenner is for the deodorising job, which you basically get free with your Axa card.

Assuming Limmers is Limerick, then +1

My AC is blowing hot air at present.

    Use the 4/40 a/c instead.

The regas or deodoriser ? I only got the regas done, there was a guy ahead getting it done so I left the car with them for an hour, not sure how long it takes if it was seen to straight away.

Brought car to fastfit, 39 euro to refill, 30 mins duration, in real thing they use two valves and two hoses while those kits use just one, really shows which is proper way :D

I am, well 4/60 anyway. If I switch the aircon off, I get outside air which is passable.

Is that related to the bumper lip issue?

Got my air con recharged this morning at Fast Fit Goatstown. The guy said it was completely empty and now the car is baltic after the recharge. Definitely worth the €39.

Crumlin had no one to do the regas this morning and Donnybrook were all out of gas when I called in.

Same, when I did mine yesterday morning at fast fit in omni, they said it was completely gone, no gas inside. I agree, it's worth it.
