Sky Channels Breaking Up

Hi, anyone have any advice on this.

We had the old white pace box, and now the new HD box, and the same problem is happening.

Channel 4, More 4 and E4 including their +1 channels are breaking up in signal. Only these channels, and if you go to Channel 4HD in the other channels option it is fine.

I rang sky, and they just said it was my modem causing interference but it didn't for 5 years and has just started now.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue or anyone experienced it themselves?

The 'Irish' versions of the Channel 4 lineup can be affected by interference from DECT cordless phones. Have you recently got one, or moved an existing base station?

If you have one, see if plugging it out cures the problem.

Thanks for a response. I had a think about what might have changed recently around my setup. In the end, turns out the box was over heating.

I have a similar problem. In the morning 8am till about 11am or so some channels don't work Channel 4 and E4 the main ones I notice. Then from about 11 to 12 these channels work again but Channel 4+1 and E4+1 don't work. The message that comes up is that no satellite signal is being received.

This has been happening for a good while, however, in this hot weather the problem has exacerbated. Now the channel 4 group (channel 4 and +1, E4 etc.) all go as does Sky News, CNN, Sky Sports News and Good Food.
I'm going to ring Sky anyway but apart from that does anyone know what would cause this to happen or any possible fixes?

I have the same problem as well, I press the tv button on my sky remote that works but the picture quality isn't the same.

Electronic equipment needs to be kept cool. At 30°C it lasts only half as long as at 20°C. Place it on an open shelf in the shade. If necessary, aim a fan at it in hot weather.

If you have a problem, PLEASE state the model number. Some models have known faults. For example http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/page12.htm#pacekits

If a kit exists, you can be sure that the specific model has an inherent fault.
