Planning on taking on the Mizen head to Malin head challenge towards the end of the this month. Cheap places to stay seem to be scarce on some of the intended stops. Travelling solo and would resent paying WAY over-the-odds to stop in a B&B and pay the cost of the 2nd or 3rd bed in the room, for example. Has anybody here…

Has anybody here tried using tents and sleeping bags along the way instead?

How was the experience? Any recommendations one way or the other?
