Hi all. New to this djing thing and was just wondering can I run a pair of passive speakers of my beheringer dmd4000. I also have a pair of alto 15 inch powered speakers maybe could I use them to drive them. Or am I just going to have to buy an amp to use them. The passive speakers are just for back up but it would be nice if I could run all four at the same time in bigger venues. Thanks.

You'll need an amp for the passive speakers. I can't imagine running the passive speakers off the powered ones would work really. Is there a line out from the control panel?

It would not work. The Line out of a active box is not used for that purpose.

    You require an amp.
