Hi lads have a kitchen that is also used as a living room, and the average temperature year round can be up to 23° (special needs person)

Just an ordinary Fridge (not a Fridge Freezer)

Which would be best and more reliable in this situation,

Fridge with ice box (manual defrost) or

    Larder type fridge (auto defrost)

    thanks.

I was buying a fridge today. The max ambient temp for proper operation was listed at 38c so I'm sure most fridges would work fine in the temps you describe. In which case buy the highest energy rated appliance you can afford,it will be printed on the label in the shop.It seems to be A+ from my own experience today whereas washing machines go up to A+++ ratings
