    Are these things really neccessary?

I just invested in my first turbo trainer - A Tacx. I havent set it up yet due to the fine weather.

The Tacx floor mat on Wiggle is 87 euro which I am gob smacked at!!!! Can I get something cheaper or just put a few cheap towels down?

Long thin strip of offcut carpet does the job fine for me. Cost €0 as we had a couple of bits left over from the living room
