When did you lose it? Do you still have it?

I was fairly late losing mine, and some, including myself, could argue that I am still fairly innocent, I continuously look for the best in people in any case.

I think the day I lost mine was when I was done out of the money my mother gave me for washing powder by an unhinged neighbour wih a shotgun.

I'm really only starting to fully lose mine :o

I'm quite clued in and intelligent, but I can also be naive at times.

I think you never really lose it. For things that give you joy I think you have to remain a little bit innocent. Otherwise it would be a cynical, cynical world.

I don't know to be honest..I've been a cynical bastard most of the time for as long as I can remember. But I guess that at times I can still be innocent..

Your father's girlfriend would disagree strongly, BM ;)

I'm too paranoid to be innocent.

I am forty two, worldly wise and always look for the best in people....

    however,

once you have proven me wrong, you are dead to me. There is no grey area with me. You are in two camps, my friend or someone who I do not waste a millisecond of thought to again.

As far as innocence is concerned, mid teens. Dirty magazines on the top shelf, tuppenny nudgers and Dry Blackthorn cider put an end to that.

That's quite a large disparity, isn't it? How can you view somebody as either your friend or somebody you wouldn't waste an ounce of time on, with no grey area?

I don't think I've ever had any. I've always been really cynical!

I like to be innocent in terms of how I view people.

But I'm slowly starting to realise that most people are c##ts.

When you find really good people, cherish them, for they are few and far between.

I suppose I'm not very innocent at all, given that I identify with misanthropy. I constantly distrust others and have a general dislike for other people.

I think I was 7 when I lost my innocence. It was shortly after my mam said "Look, it says 'No more tears'!".

    What does being cynical mean?

    What does being cynical mean?

Believing I suppose that anyone who does something nice for you has an ulterior motive?

I'm fairly academically intelligent, but street smarts - at 36 I still don't have a clue, I trust people far too easily and I've got burned more times than I care to remember, but I always remember the good people and I'll always go out of my way to help anybody I see at least making an effort.

Drives my wife mad but she kinda gets the overall concept, just not the unorthodox methodology :pac:

    Dirty magazines... How old school.

In my day it was floppy disks full of porn!

You could fit a good 10 or 12 low quality pics onto one of those bad boys!
