After being away from singing for a long time I realised 2 things: 1) I miss it, and 2) I need someone else to do this with because otherwise I'll procrastinate till the end of time.

I have a bunch of stuff in my place (mic, speakers but not amp, full size digital piano) and very tolerant neighbours, so all I need now is someone to practice with (or on... it has been awhile and I'm not sure what state my voice is in). ;)

In terms of influences and things I like, here's a non-exhaustive list (if you don't like the 90s, save yourself the time and step away now! :D ):
D'Angelo, Alice Russell, Nikka Costa, Jill Scott, Sia, Janet Jackson (more 'janet.' than 'Rhythm Nation'), Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Angie Stone, John Legend, Guru... and many more! (I do listen to a wider range of stuff, I swear)

So if you harbour a secret love for the 90s, am tired of sombre guitar music, don't mind playing other people's songs and your ambitions will be sated if what we produce never goes beyond my lounge room - get in touch!

P.S. If popping all those names into You Tube is tiresome, here's a couple of songs I've been listening to on repeat lately:
