I have a family friend staying with us. He is 24, Spanish, and recently graduated in Civil Engineering. His English is pretty good. There is no work for him anywhere in Europe so he is thinking of going back to do a masters. I think he is mad to stay anywhere near Civ Eng.

I think he should do a postgrad, through English, in something like Chemical or Industrial engineering. Maybe even an MBA (although he should probably have some experience for this).

Bearing in mind his resources are limited, anyone got any advice?

If he is interested, get into IT, like the Analytics threads here.
