Help with Solar Gain

    HI

This is probably really relevant now due to Recent Temps but I have a South Facing Bedroom with a Window approx 5ft x 3ft and the solar gain really makes the room uncomfortable almost impossible to sleep in

Short of Air conditioning is there any way to reduce the Temp I tried Blinds on the inside but no joy as room still heats up

I think a blind on the outside would work as I seen these on the continent but cannot seem to find anything here

Any advise please Window is upstairs at front of house

    Thanks

    Mylesm

You can get a reflective film for placing over the Glass. One of it's features is to prevent Sunlight entering a room. It's very often used in office blocks.
alternatively you can purchase stand alone Air Con units in B & Q and other outlets.
