Listening to the radio there is a case going through the courts where a fella can't remember if he go a million quid off someone. It got me thinking...I found a fiver once, but have you ever been given a million you (or the taxman) forgot about? (and was it in a brown envelope?)

I've squandered a bit, but never came across such a bounty when checking pockets prior to doing a wash.

hehe. Ah Frank, you legend. Funny man. Great character. Wonderful company. If any human being really does have balls of steel, it is him. But a complete and utter rogue central to corruption in the planning process. He deserved prison, and unusually for this state he was imprisoned.

He deserved those almost two years in prison. However, it would be unjust if the people whom he bribed did not also get imprisoned. If they are not here, that will be the wrong. He has done his time. Now it's surely time for the people he bribed to pay.

I once left 10 euro in a book and found it a few years later. Was high off my balls on sugar that day when I found it

    Yep :/
I must admit I have actually completely forgotten about @2.2million at one stage!

    In my defence..
It was 2.2 million pesetas(@€;13200) and it was from a job I had when I lived in Spain, I'd left the job but still had a small share of the business and when it sold that got liquidated and paid into a bank account I didn't use anymore.

It took me about a year to realise the money was even in my account as I was in the habit of just ignoring the particular account, until they rang me and asked me if I wanted to move it out of a current account and into some ''high interest'' products as I had a significant non earning balance :o

I forgot about €5k I had stashed once. I was delighted to find it when I did. Still don't know how I forgot about it other than I didn't need it at the time so put it away for safe keeping.

Many years back remember article where family found stash of cash hidden in stairs, think it was in US,anyway later they found out some drug seller was living there, got house raided and arrested and was sent to prison.
So id say not a small chance to find forgotten mill somewhere, but in example above you wouldn't sleep right in that house after finding mill and knowing that someone one day might come back for it

I was on holiday in Zimbabwe a few years back and I got a loan of 1 million Zimbabwean dollars from the guy in the room next door to buy a can of coke and forgot to pay him back.
