Do you think the HTC One will drop in price any time soon?

Or is the price going to stay like that for a while?

Most likely to stay at a high price, after all it is the flagship phone ATM and with the excellent reviews you probably will be waiting.

Unfortunately I think you're right. May not be much sense in waiting

Are you looking to buy one outright to use or get on a contract?

Have a look on the Bargain Alerts forum.

Basically its a HTC One for €199 on contract with O2 for 6 months with a €55 monthly spend which is unlimited calls and texts, 2GB data and 1 weeks roaming (60 mins and texts). Which is not too bad as Meteors equivalent plan is €49 a month but with at least a 12 month contract. I know its 5GB data on that Meteor, plan but seriously if you are using more then 2GB on your smartphone I suggest that you have it surgically removed from your hand.

So you can sign up, then when you have the phone, call O2 and get it unlocked. Then in early 2014 change back to whatever network or drop down to a cheaper plan...

I agree, I dont think it will drop anytime soon.

Persoanally I won't be buying the flagship model anymore. I find that once the phone is slightly outdated there is a HUGH drop in price in the 2nd hand market.

For example I bought the HTC sensation a few months back for €60 (admittedly I got it at a very god deal), the phone was probably like €500 when it was new. I've loaded it with the HTC One X Rom and its brilliant.

    just my 2c.
