Normally when we run the taps in the house the pump on the boiler kicks in and the pressure is really strong. Today we noticed a big drop in pressure and then realised the pump wasn't kicking in. The pump and whole plumbing system is only 12 mnths old. Any suggestions please as i'm entirey clueless... Before you suggest contacting the original plumber its a bit difficult as he's now in the UK.

Need make and model of the pump and a pic if possible.
Start by turning off the electric supply to the pump, leave it off for minute, then switch it back on. Might be all it needs to reset it.

Sorry i douldn't know the make or model but here are a couple of pictures. I unplugged it as you said but now joy. I'm assuming the red one is the pump? As i said i'm clueless:confused:

Red one is your expansion vessel for central heating,
Green tank is your hot water cylinder,
Image no 3 is your pump.

One or two things have gone wrong,
check your main fuse board or the fuse in the plug first. If they are ok then most likely either the printed circuit board or the capacitor on the pump have failed.
Check the fuses and let me know.

Thanks i've done that and the fuses are ok. When i plugged it back in it made a humming noise but still not kicking in so still no pressure.

A humming noise usually indicates that either,
    1. The capacitor is shot and needs changing.
    Or,
    2. The motor has seized and entire pump needs changing.

More than likely, 95 times / 100, its only the capacitor that needs changing.

The pump you have is a Stuart Turner 330N model, there is no re-set button fitted to them.

At least you have established that there is power going to it.
It is either a mechanical impediment of a capacitor failure.
    Time to call good electrician.
