Car insurance query

    Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone knows if I can insure my mothers car on my own policy with liberty insurance. My policy will be the only one covering this vehicle. I've been driving this car under her policy as a named driver for 2 years and I'm finally getting a policy in my own name.
Its no hassle to put the car in my name but no point adding an extra owner if I don't have to

Most insurance companies will insist on the main policy holder to be the registered owner as you need to have an insurable interest in the car. Best thing to do is ring them though.
