    ive 2 questions..

Basically, a friend is an ex smack head and is back on the heroin, he wants help but i dont know where to bring him, we are in the south east (waterford)
Is there a list of places?
can i just bring him to a clinic and they accept him?
Is it government funded or will it cost a bomb?

Sorry but im new to all this.

the second question is very simular but for my brother in law, hes a tearaway on the drink, lost his wife and kids.. can you actually sign people in nowadays against their will for their own good?

Sorry if my questions are crude and to the point, but i dont have much time to research both avenues and play the good Samaritan:/

    Thanks for all your help.

Hi 0rt. I'm going to move your post to Personal Issues as it's a more appropriate forum than Humanities for queries like this. PI Mods, apologies is this isn't suited to your forum.

Hi, If you got in touch with a social worker at your local health centre they should be able to point you in the right direction.
    Best of luck
