Interested in starting a two or three piece covers band/duo. Plan would be to do rootsy folk and blues covers music, but stuff that would go down well in pub settings. The kind of music I have in mind would be folky rock along the lines of Bob Dylan, Waterboys, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Jackson Browne, John Martyn, the Animals and a bit of lively acoustic blues and slide type stuff from Clapton, SRV, Rory Gallagher or even a bit of old ragtime or Irish trad. A bit of a mixture of rootsy acoustic stuff, which would be a bit different to a lot of more mainstream acoustic stuff in pubs at the moment. Get gigging ASAP, possibly start doing original stuff then. I have some original material that would fit in with above styles

I play the guitar, harmonica and sing and am currently learning the banjo. I am looking to set up something easily portable (i.e. not a ‘full’ band set up). Would be looking for someone to share or lead singing duties. Let me know if this sounds like your thing! James

Hey man. I'd be up for that. 35 yr old guitarist. over 20 years gigging experience in Ireland, Germany, Canada and the USA in various rock and hard rock bands, Also played in an acoustic cover band in LA to pay the rent while I lived there.

Living in Southside Dublin now and would totally be up for doing something like this.

    Cheers

    C
