Originally bought this with the intention of racing a bit of cx at the end of the year, but a change of circumstances means this might end up gathering dust in the shed instead of being raced over the winter...

Giant TCX aluminium frame (size M), carbon forks
    FSA Gossamer 42cm handlebars
    KCNC SC light 120mm stem
    BBB carbon seatpost
    Charge Spoon saddle
    Shimano XTR rear mech
    Shimano Dura Ace 7800 shifters
Shimano Ultegra 6500 chainset (130 bcd)
    Shimano M520 pedals

Currently running a 1x10 drivetrain, with a 39t chainring on the front, a bash guard big enough to cover a 40t chainring, and a deda dog-fang. I do have a clamp on, top pull front mech I will include in the sale.

I am selling this without wheels, as I currently only have one training wheelset and one racing wheelset that I swapped between this and my road bike on the odd occasion that I did take it for a spin, BUT, if asking is met I can include an older pair of mavic aksiums with fairly worn GP4000s tyres and an 11-25 cassette that I was keeping to use as turbo wheels for the winter.

Bike was bought in a bit of a sorry state, and I have since added the new saddle, handlebars, DA shifters, bashguard, chain catcher, new SRAM PC1051 chain, new cables and bartape, and new pedals. It has seen maybe 200kms of road use since all of the above work. I am also trying to find time to pick up a pair of essentially brand new Tektro brake calipers I have bought for it, which will also be included in the sale if I don't get the time to fit them beforehand. Also included are the cleats for the above spd pedals.

    ?size=l

Looking to get €600 or nearest offer, with the addition of a pair of wheels and CX tyres this bike will essentially be ready to race for the 2013 CX season....

nice bike, with a good cx setup. CX is probably the most fun (in a sadistic kind of way) you can have on a bike imho. Pity you wont get to taste the pain. GLWTS!!

Bit of a bump for this thread....

Stem changed to a 130mm FSA OS115 with carbon front plate
Tektro brakes fitted with new cables
Including an older pair of mavic aksiums (rough 8000km old) with an 11-25 cassette of similar vintage, and Conti GP4seasons with about 3000km on them
Topeak clip on bottle cage mount and bottle cage

    Updated pics...

Looks nice, anyone thinking of racing cyclocross this winter should snap this up as there won't be any secondhand CX bikes to be found come September!

Can you post a link to that bottle cage adapter - I need one for my own CX frame.

Those are some great flowers Colm, you using any special compost to get the colors so bright and vivid? You must be really trilled with them.

Haha I can't take credit for them, that'd be the fine work of my parents hands! I just look after the fruit/veggie patch!

    Would you consider splitting?

Probably, if I had offers on everything...what is it you're after?

I'll have to get back to you. Talking to someone about another frame so I'll see how that goes before I make a concrete offer.

Ok, I'd probably split it if the frameset was spoken for alright, let me know and we can go from there...

How much for the frame forks headset seatpost and saddle .

    If I was to split...

Frame, forks, headset, seatpost, cable guides, BB and chainset with bashguard and deda chain catcher - €225
    Charge Spoon saddle - €25
    Tektro CR720 brake calipers - €25
    Shimano XTR M952 rear mech - €30
Shimano top pull front mech - €10
Shimano M520 SPD pedals and cleats - €20
    FSA 42cm Gossamer handlebars - €10
FSA OS115 stem with carbon faceplate - €20
    Dura Ace 7800 shifters - €150
Mavic Aksium wheels, cassette and tyres (more suitable for turbo trainer) - €50

    Full bike - €500

Would consider sensible offers though, the above are just guide prices to satisfy the mods, not entirely sure what some parts are actually worth. The saddle and SPD pedals and cleats are essentially brand new, maybe 100km on them at most, and the DA shifters are in very good working condition....

As the frame and forks are the most substantial item, I'd rather not sell any other parts until the frame and forks are sold.

I've reviewed the prices slightly, bit more realistic now I think...

    Sorry to hear...

    Measuring very roughly,

    TT - 54cm c-c
    HT - 17cm
    ST - 52.5cm c-c (56cm c-t)

I'm 6' and it fits me perfectly

You can tell this has never been raced or used a lot for CX because of the amount of white he has on the bike, it would've been gone after one race :p

Any takers on this at a reduced price of €400 before I advertise elsewhere?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 325 ✭✭ciarsciars

Hey there, Would you take €370?
