Sky Multiroom - Phone Line

I might be moving house soon, and the house I'm moving to only has one telephone point down by the front door.

I have multiroom, so its going to be a bit of a nightmare getting a phone line from my box in the bedroom to near the front door.

Is there any type of workaround or solution to this?

I know there are homeplugs for sending the internet signal through the house using the mains wiring, but is there a similar thing for the phone signal?

I'm out of ideas and really don't want to go lifting floorboards/hacking walls! :(

Yes, you can get a DECT wireless phone extender system.

    I'd avoid Homeplug systems.

    Just found this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/RTX-WIRELESS-PHONEJACK-Wireless-Phone/dp/B000NJQHL4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

But some reviews say it doesn't work with certain boxes? Is this true?

No of course not. All reviewers are liars. ;)
    (What do you think?)

WHat kind of box did you have?

I have one of the newer 500gb HD boxes and also the 2TB box.

It can be hit and miss as to whether actually Sky enforce the phone line rule for multiroom.
I'v had multiroom for over 4 years and none of the boxes have ever been phone line connected and have never received a letter from Sky to connect boxes to the phone line:D

You could try setting up your multiroom without a phone line connection before investing in a wireless phone extender system.
If the dreaded warning letter arrives then you will have to act to prevent them from charging you a double subscription.

Same here, for 2 years now.

i used to get the letters but would stick in the phone line for a days and then take it out, they stopped sending the letter after about 3 or 4 times
