Semi-detached houses, chimney mounted aerials / dishes

Where two semi-ds share a chimney-stack, flues from each house contained in stack, what happens if the occupier of one house erects TV aerials or satellite dishes strapped to the stack without consultation or prior discussion?

Can they be removed by the other party? If attaching the aerials to the stack results in roof damage from the workmen or gutter (also shared) damage, how is the situation resolved? If one house is rented, can the PRTB be called upon to adjudicate?

    Thanks.

the antenna should be attached by a chimney mounting strap so it dosn't damage the blockwork, once its on thier side there is nothing you can do as long as its no more than 6 metres high no consultation is needed. as for damage to the roof and guttering from the ladders that is a different story you would be entitled to pursue the person erecting it ( Im assuming its a soarview antenna for the sake of argument) so perhaps it was a company rather than your neighbour they would have to make good any damage done as would be the norm ith anyone working on the house.

If the house is rented it doesnt really come into it as I would assume they had the landlords permission but even so a sattelite dish or antenna would be allowed in general.

Is the problem the antenna looking nasty or damage Ive found a lot ofpeople just dont like the idea of one near there house and do there best to get it removed but as long as it within the planning guidelines there is feck all you can do .
