I want to plan the design of a utility room that will give best function for everything that goes on it the room.

I am talking approx 1o & half ft x 10 & half ft in area.

The main uses of this room will be:

    - Clothes needed to be washed for family of 5 so different area i.e. whites / colours waiting to be washed.....

    - Ironing ( I like idea of fold down ironing board system & behind a door)

    - Cleaning cupboard - hoover, brushes, etc

    - Other storage i.e. some food storage

    - Other e.g. maybe bottles or recycling material

I would love to see some pictures of Well laid out Utility Rooms that function really well & don't feel too cluttered

I know I could move 1 or 2 of these requirements above to our large garage but would like to keep what works best in house.

Where could I view some designs or pictures of good utility rooms

Also not essential but would like a traditional look to it, but maybe that is something I can customise after!!!

Would appreciate some advice and pictures please

    Thanks

Who did your kitchen? They should be able to do your Utility to match and will be experienced in getting the most out of the space.

Houzz website or iPad app is great for any room in the house and it has a ton of utility room photos.

I had the same idea while designing utility ref ironing.
Luckily didn't do it as the Mrs does all the ironing in the Kitchen while watching some sort of TV.
So advice is check with the Iron Lady or Iron Gent and see do they want to Iron in the Utility!
