    Or one of these:

Looks a lot tidier, actually its what a lot of the Products use when shipped to UK/Ireland

Tempted as I don't actually have a console  :p

Can the HDD be upgraded easy enough?

(EDIT: It's gone up to €127 now)

That won't suit the Xbox 360's 2-pin connector though :P

any German stuff I ever had I just chopped off the two pin and fitted a regular Irish plug.

I just plug them directly into Irish sockets.

But if you really wanted one you can buy them for less than €5. I think they sell them in Harvey Normans.
    Also
    2 Pin version
    3 Pin version

I didn't look very hard. But I'm sure anyone could find them cheaper again.

The price for the Xbox has gone up to €127.

Still cheaper than other places, but no longer a bargain.

    Expired?

You can also use a cable from a PC, as it will fit in the Xbox 360 power supply ;)

Can't play GTA5 on this unless you upgrade the HDD. GTA5 needs an 8Gb install to work. Personally the 4Gb model is a waste and should not even be on the market.

You could use a USB key/external hard drive.

Or search adverts for 250gb HDD - easy to fit.

Easy to fit, but it doesnt work right? I thought you needed to load custom firmware onto hard drives to get it to work in 360

    Exactly, Allyall :)

That's what i've been doing the last 8 months. I have a 12gb launch xbox 360 hdd and in this stage of the 360's life 12gb aint enough. So I bought myself a nice little 32gb SanDisk USB for 23.99 in Argos. Works great.

does using a usb drive remove all the limitations of this version of the Xbox vs the ones with bigger disks?

why do you need all this disk space anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,162 ✭✭✭loki7777

To keep dlc, save states, game files. I think you can't put dlc on usb stick

I'm confused by that answer. So it does limit you then.

Basically I use my 32gb stick to hold:

    - Demos
    - DLC Content
    - Full 'games on demand' games

So yes it does replace the need to buy a bigger HDD and as for why I need that space? You've never played Battlefield 3 have you? :pac: That game alone has had 12+gb in DLC and update data since it's launch in 2011 for the xbox 360.

But as crazy as this may sound using a 32 gb usb stick is only really a temporary solution. As you can easily go through it.

Couldnt make a move on buying one of these until today. It's now back up to 137.57 euro. But seeing as how in during the week it went from 99.99 to 137, then back to 99.99 - i'm hoping it'll do the same over the weekend :P
