    Hi,

I have a pink and white polka dot polyester bikini that got mixed up in a dark wash ( after only wore it once :( ) resulting in greyish blue dots.....I then boil washed it to whiten the dots on very bad advice as I now have a horribly faded pink with off white greyish dots. It was an expensive 2 piece that fit nicely for once and I will try ANYThHiNg before turfing it out....I've heard polyester is difficult to dye even and also because its polka dot may find it hard to get an even colour :( I've been searching for a professional dye or colour removal service (yes I am that dedicated to this bikini!! ) but can only find them in the uk, I'm Dublin based. If anyone knows anything on how to help with this I'd greatly appreciate it....please genuine advice on stuff that actually works, random thoughts on what to do have me in this mess! Attached a pic, te background pink is what it used to be. Thanks a mill xx

Thats an after pic? But it looks fine? I dont see any grey?

I think that youre on a hiding to nowhere trying to dye polka dot print polyester. There are special dyes that are for use with polyester but thats a print, so you will never dye it back to where it was.

Totally agree with the poster above, dying it will not help matters. By the way, it still looks lovely, i'd say you're the only one who'll notice anything wrong :)

Thanks for ur reply :) yeah it looks ok in pic but in real life it looks as though its been worn the past ten years!! Know I won't get it back to what it was, hoping now to just due it one colour and allow the white bits just be lighter shade....ur right I'm prob fighting a losing battle, got a purple Dylon to soak it in today so ill see what happens! Thanks again ill let u know how I get on :)

I saw this bikini today in New look in northside shopping centre. It is just a sale shop so it has odds and ends, there were a good few of the bikini bottoms but only a couple of the tops, don't know what size but you might be lucky.
