    Hello Everyone.

I have 2 questions regarding my jobseekers allowance. The first one is that I don't know when my next sign on day is. I moved counties the end of May and any slip I got from the PO has said N/A beside the next signing date since moving? Have they changed the whole process of signing on? Am I missing out on something?

My second one is - that I'm going to visit an old college friend - who lives about 6 hours away I'm planing on staying there for week or so. I've booked them "off" with the online option on the social welfare site. I didn't receive any clarification. Has anyone experience of using this before?

    Anyhelp I would greatly appreciate.
    Thanks

Ok that's what I thought might be the case. I'm not too far away from you - so I presume that's the case. I have yet to receive any letter though. But it took them about 5 weeks to transfer my claim - so I suspect the letter is on the way.

Do you have any experience of going a way for a week and notifying them?

    Thanks a million.

The letter i received about training was handed to me at the window, they're not posting them.

I did go away once for seven days, but i went in and told them, she swiped my card and typed something on the PC, was done in about 30 seconds. I've heard loads complaining about the online facility, best to get it done face to face.

Sorry about late reply, i didn't get an email notification, that the thread had been replied to.

Hey. Yeah I went into them after and they said said that I do have to sign on the 16th. Must be different where I am. Glad I double checked. And I sorted the going away too - have to go in the day before I leave to sign off and then go back in to them when I get home.

Oh no worries! I hate asking them (some of them aren't the friendliest) so I said I would check on here first. Always nice to talk to other people in the same position. Thanks for taking your time to reply :)
