Chain question

    For the first time I said I would attempt putting new cassette and chain on .10 speed shimano 6701 .When fitting the connector pin on the chain I pushed the pin too far through and almost out the other side.Then I pushed it back a wee bit and started again .This time I done it like I should of done it the first time.It seems fine but is there a chance I made a balls of it?:confused:

    Use a masterlink - easier an reusable. you're not re-using pins are you? Or are you fitting new pins and then shearing them off?

    This was new chain and new pin and then I sheared it off.

    Watch for stiff link after fitting, although if you pushed through that might not be a problem...

    Is it alright to push the connector pin I used out and replace it with a new one.Doing the ROK the weekend and I'm half afraid my chain will break.
