There is an issue with role permissions that is being worked on at the moment.

    Sounds like the jack has come loose.
    Try another pair of earphones and if it's the same I'd be looking to either replace or repair after contacting Sansa to confirm on warranty.

    Check with another set of headphones or earphones to see if it's the clip or the headphones at fault.

    If it's the earphones (and they're cheap) just get a new pair or use them to practice putting on a replacement jack. If it's the clip I'd check with sansa and see what they can do.

    sansa will only support to 1 year and getting it replaced takes ages.

    The jack going on the sansa is quite common. Hardly worth getting it fixed (if out of warranty) a new on is only about €30.

    Might aswell have a go at fixing it yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIPH50FkEd0

    On Head-Fi some glue a short 3.5 extension into the jack to try and avoid the issue.

    My own one has got a loose jack.
