Short Game Clinic in Carton House

    Folks,

A quick question.... I play using a cack handed grip and currently play off a 17 Hcap. I only joined a club this year but have had this grip all my years since playing Pitch and Putt as a youngster. At this point I've no plans to change my grip as my time is quite limited and I do not wish to take on the pain of changing. My question is that if I was to sign up for a short game clinic at Carton House would there be any issues in getting some guidance given the fact I have the incorrect grip.

Short game used to be very good due to the pitch and putt but that was a long time ago.

For anyone that has attended the clinic in Carton House did there find it helpful in improving their golfing performance.

I attended this clinic during winter about 16 months ago. I found it quite useful but a bit long (at about 3 hours) for the winter cold weather.

Personally, I've gotten much more benefit from a short game lesson (supported by video recording to show what I was doing wrong) with our own club pro, followed up by continuing short game practice to try to bed in what I had learned.

I should add that I dumped 2 long clubs from my bag and added 54 & 58 degree wedges, which I used during the short game lesson.

Results - Handicap down from 17 to 12 in a relatively short period of time - but I needed quite a bit of practice with these clubs and it's still a work in progress.
