Hi all. My father planted his farm about 5 years ago with SWS forestry services. Since it was planted we have cut the grass around the perimeter of the forest ourselves. Now, a friend of a friend...etc claims that SWS cut the grass around the perimeter of his forest. This is news to us. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Highly doubt it, most forestry companies these days operate under a plant and forget type if system that they plant it, get the grant for 'maintanence' and you will never see them again until they can get money out of you.
There supposed to plant and maintain a site for aprox 5 years like replanting dead trees, spraying for diseases etc which rarely happens as this is where coillte has failed.
I highly doubt it but maybe they are doing what they are paid for which is good.
Maybe try contacting the local SWS forestry consultant and see what they say afteryou get a better idea here anyway first.
