    a bit of help needed.

ive got pretty extensive knowledge when it comes to road bikes but when things start to change with triple I never know what to do due to lack of use!

basically heres the deal. i picked up a 6603 groupset for cheap. unfortunately the guy i got it off never included spacers and says he cant find them.

as far as i know theres a 6mm spacer and a 3.5mm spacer (NDS/DS) with washers also needed from what ive read.

i would just go ahead and order these, the 6mm is only about 2quid and the 3.5 is about 10euro but my problem is that i measured it up today.

if i line the the smallest chainring up with slack off the FD, it seems that with putting the spindle in line the NDS has nearly bang on 2cm too much length and the nds comes down to a few mm's which is hard to measure.

is there something im doing wrong? im running a 6600 bb but to my knowledge theres no 6603 bb. also i dont have a crank bolt yet for it because its different fit to the normal however this wont fix it because itll only pull it in another 2mm or so judging on how much longer the splines are.

any advice would be handy. its a bsa thread just to clear anything up there. also if i would need extra spacers could anybody suggest some sort of tubing i could put over the spindle to act as a spacer i could cut to size?

    thanks in advance

    Josh
