    Hi folks,

Looking for a beginners ukulele left handed. Any suggestions other than ebay\amazon?

Anyone know of any shops in Dublin City centre that would have them?

Tried ringing waltons and the likes but can't get through :-(

    Cheers,
    Trilla

Got a uke for chrimbo but haven't given it much attention yet. I'm also lefty and I'm pretty sure that you can switch the strings to lefty. Google is your friend in this instance

You'll probably have to adjust the nut slightly if you go down that route, although I'm no uke expert.

They may do it in the shop for you if you have time to spare

My wife is left handed. I did a fair bit of searching, but never found a left handed uke. Bought a right handed one, flipped the bridge over and restrung it for left handed. It plays fine for her. I didn't do anything to the nut, but if you were being thorough, you could.

Thanks. The LAG concert Uke for €88 seems like a decent package with a gig bag included.

Thinking back on it and looking at my Uke - switch shouldnt be that much of an issue
You may not have to move the Bridge - but flipping may mean the groves of the strings are consistent
as with the neck/nut the grooves for this need to be reversed to avoid buzzing if the thinner strings moves in a larger groove.

Actually re-stringing a uke needs some dexterity I had issues when i tried it first - best to ask someone in a shop kindly
