    Hi OP

I had a 05 Primera 1.8 petrol SVE until last year. Good spec, very comfortable but quite sluggish. I had it for 3 years without any major problems.

I had 130K kilometers on the clock and it took me 2 months to sell it. I ended up letting it go for 3K in the end. Hopefully that gives you an indication of how much you should be shelling out for a 06 model.

    Regards

    Austin

Same here..I had a 05 1.6 SVE and got 3.5K for it in a trade in against BMW.
Was happy with that as it was the going rate on donedeal etc for them.
Overall I was very happy with the car. Very solidly built car, the only maintenance apart from the odd service was a wheel bearing chagne which cost me about €250 or so..(the primeras have the bearing fused as part of a kit hence the cost).

Can be a bit expensive on petrol as its heavy but comfortable with lots of room inside.

    Hello there!

I went out a bought an 02 nissan primera 1.6 p12 version and its a brilliant car, This is my second car on the road and it seems very very reliable, a pal of mine had a 1.8 then dropped down to the 1.6 version and there was no difference at all except in a bit more fuel economy. They do a diesel 2.2 version thats suppose to be very good but i couldnt swing the tax or the insurance for that sort of beast :)

    Primera 1.6 is a joke.
This car just doesn't move - very underpowered.
I had 1.8 and I must say it was slow and not very economical (similar to 2.0 mazda 6, which provides much more power and better acceleration).
I test drove primera 1.6 and I wouldn't be able to stand it. Possibly only as a city car. Completely not suitable for motorways.

Well Cinio I use the primera only for motorway driving, (Dublin to Waterford twice weekly) and i find it very good on fuel consumption, along with the smoothness and the comfort of the car its a brilliant buy for a cheap car with good reliability

What fuel consumption do you get in 1.6 primera at 120km/h ?
