Reapplying for a job

So I interviewed for a position a few weeks ago, didn't get it and received the usual PFO. Now today I see that this same position is being advertised again, I am wondering if I should get in contact again to see if I would be reconsidered for the role?

Has anyone else had an experience like this in the past?

Re-advertisements usually mean they weren't happy to give the job to the people that applied.

Unless there was something you can change such as your asking salary there's probably little point.

The one question you could ask them is if they had any concerns that you could do the job to see if you can put their mind right.

If they interviewed you it would suggest they thought you could do the job. Did anything not go quite right at the interview?

I thought the interview went well but obviously they weren't convinced.

When I asked for feedback all I got was "We had so many exceptional candidates" etc etc, couldn't get any more out of them than that.

if they've specifically said no then there's no point in reapplying, imo. It'd be different if you didn't hear one way or the other.

That was originally my thought, especially since the interview was only 3 weeks ago and they probably still have my contact details.

Yes i have often applied to same jobs again year after year had to give up after 3rd to 5th attempt depending on the job. Only that you got offered an interview and got pof after interview would it be worth applying for again. It might be no harm to apply again now or at a later date but only difference be you might be up against different candidates.
