Hi all, I've applied for the Culinary arts course in Killybegs but I wanted to ask people how knew Killybegs well a few questions..

    (1) I am wondering is there many hotels, restaurants etc. I would be able to ask for work experience for the course.

    (2) Public transport: I'll be needing to get a bus from Sligo to the campus, so I'm wondering does Bus Earnn run a bus to Killybegs? Or are there any private Bus company that do runs to Killybegs. Or how close to Killybegs?

There are a few more, but I can't think of them at the moment. :o So when I think of them I will post them here.. :)

    Thanks.

There's one hotel and several restaurants in the town. I believe that work experience is arranged for you by the college.

On the transport front, you can get bus to Donegal Town, from there you get a connection to Killybegs.

I hear that it's been moved to LYIT after the 13/14 term.

    Sweet thanks. :)

Ah also I'm just wondering about accommodation now. Would there be accommodation on the campus?

Also if anyone could link me up to it on Google maps, as I can't find it. LYIT in letterkenny just keeps appearing. :(

The students used to stay on campus or with host families, don't know if they still do tho as most wanted to rent their own places.

    Like above shows the college.

Easy to get places to rent in killybegs, and should be fairly cheap.

Also are both these buses Bus earnn buses or is the one that goes from donegal town a private company?

Cheers for all the help. :)

    Accomodation here

Buseireann run from Dublin to Killybegs during the summer I believe, during the winter you must change in Donegal Town and get CIE bus to Killybegs.

If you click the little minus sign twice on that link, the college is near the car park at the bottom right hand side.
