Is it possible to repair a sim card slot?

Cos I broke mine! I thought my new phone took a micro sim and was trying to put my sim in and it wasn't working. Put it in sideways and it got caught when I took it out. Turned out it took a nano sim instead! :o

It's a dual sim phone so I'm using the second slot. The problem is because it's not the primary sim the phone goes to roaming when I want to text or phone which is a pain in the butt. I keep getting the pop-up message "The sim card that you are about to use is now roaming. No local sim is available now. Would you like to continue?". I can't find a way of fooling the phone into thinking that Sim2 is Sim1 and I can't send it back because it's my fault I broke it :o

Is it possible to have the slot repaired anywhere in Dublin?
