    Jam a bus under the finish line..

    Then move the finish line back 3km down the route.

    Then dont bother to tell the riders.

    Then have a big pile up,as the riders are all confused by conflicting information they are getting.

    The bus driver was actually following directions. The team buses arrive some minutes ahead of the peleton, and are directed onto a street off the main race route. Something like a pit lane in F1.
