Has anybody managed to root their Galaxy Y GT-S5369

I've tried multiple updates... all have aborted installation or had errors

The only one that ran completely was this Multi root Installer.... it says "your phone is rooted" but when i reboot I dont have root access

    any ideas?

    I used this update

I had to extract the file "universal_gb_root_v25.zip" from the rar then used that to update the file

S5369 is just an S5360 with Vodafone bloatware as far as I can tell (O2's S5363 definitely is) so the rooting process should be the same. Easiest starting point I found is to just flash stock S5360 firmware from Sammobile with Odin and then use one of the XDA guides like this one to root.

I'm using PsychoGame's CM7 port (which IIRC roots the phone anyway) with a few modifications and it's working pretty well.
