Logbook question

First time selling a car privately and unsure who posts the logbook. I want to post it myself in the off chance that the other party does something stupid in my car and then fails to post it, leaving me in hot water. If I was buying I'd want to keep the log book so the previous owner couldn't report it stolen and claim it back.

What's the proper code of conduct here?

Yeah, seller posts it after signatures.
Buyer will get it from Shannon.
Do not let buyer have it as they could just keep driving car in your name.

You can both go put it in postbox together after sale, everyone will know it has been sent off.

someone in another thread said that they got the seller and buyer to take photo's of the filled in logbook before sending it to shannon, seller then posts the book and buyer has a digital copy to prove he bought it, seller has buyers details
