Hi folks, sorry if this has been covered somewhere else already but I'm wondering about hire costs for a helicopter.
My partner has received really late notice for a job interview in south east a couple of hours before we are due to fly out of Dublin airport.
Was thinking that a helicopter would solve our time constraints, budgets permitting. Any ideas on approx cost of hire from south east to Dublin airport? Thanks

My best guesstimate based on 2hours total flight time in a Robinson 44 and landing fees at Dublin airport would be around €1,200.

Never going to be the cheapest option and if the weather was bad you coul be delayed. Prob best to re-schedule interview/holiday plans.

south east to Dublin would only take about 40 minutes.

south east to Dublin would only take about 40 minutes.

Positioning fees would probably apply too, plus potential hold time etc etc. Either way it's at the mercy of weather that wouldn't stop any other form of transport, technical issues etc. Best to reschedule the interview, OP.

I would have thought a taxi door to door would be as quick, depending where in the South East you are talking about.

Also, if you get the chopper, you will be dropped at the far side of the field, it's not like you can just run across the grass and up the steps of your plane.

You will have to exit from the helicopter ops side, and get driven all the way around the perimeter and enter through security like any normal punter I imagine.

Better to have the car running outside herselfs interview, and just apply a heavy right boot up the N11/M9 and you will be there as quick.

No half as flash or as good a story though
