Booking flights to Bali, Indonesia

    Hi everyone,

I'm seeking for some help in booking my holidays.

I'm looking to travelling to Bali, Indonesia for about 10 days in the end of August and I don't know where to start from. I'm a bit lost.

I've been searching for flights online through the usual search engines like skyscanner.com but it seems that it's not easy to find good flight connections this way.

Is there any website that arrange the whole combination of flights from Ireland at a good price?

Any light on this would be appreciated.

    Miguel

Have you tried KLM or Singapore airlines? Both will give you a price for flights from Dublin to Bali return all on the 1 ticket. With KLM you´re looking at a layover of about 2 hours in Amsterdam to change flights and the plane stops for an hour or so in Singapore before going on to Bali. You´re looking at paying about 1100 euro. Singapore Airlines are something similar.

Hi any time we fly to Bali we've used klm, cork- Amsterdam-Bali with an hr stop in Singapore to refuel, the flight connections always good.

If you have a longer layover in Singapore, book the Airport Hotel in the Terminal to get a few hours kip.

While it may seem like a waste of cash, it was totally worth it as we were fresh when we got there and it eliminated the Jetlag :)

55 euro for a 6 hour block in a Double room, rooms are decent with TV etc, so you can chillout or sleep.

Nice that you don't have to clear immigration and you can wake up, have a shower and hop on the plane to Bali :)

We went with Singapore Airlines from Amsterdam, very decent experience.

If you are into seeing a bit more on the way, Emirates have a decent open Jaw deal at the moment also.

You could just book the connecting flights yourself but give yourself enough a day or two either side of them.

Few days in Jakarta, maybe a night or 2 in Rome on your way back.

We paid 649 per person for the Flight from Amsterdam ... 1100 euros seems like a lot extra to pay for the Aer Lingus segment.

Use ITA Matrix to work out your flights:

If your looking for something special I can put you in touch with a nice German that owns villas with pool in Tulamben, gorgeous area thats not wrecked yet by tourism.

    http://www.toyabali-resort.com/

He had a pool put in since we were there and there's three staff always there that will make you food, beers, cocktails and arrange any outings you would like.

There's other hotels and bars down the beach, its a big area for Diving as there's a Wreck around 80 meters out and a reef also.

They also picked us up from the Airport (Which was nice as we didn't have to deal with the Crazy taxi drivers outside)

After a week in Tulamben, we stayed here:
    http://www.plataranbali.com/

Which is closer to nightlife and peaceful enough to enjoy some relaxation, get some massages etc.

Stay away from the Arak and stick to beer, its fine in the established places but i wouldn't bother/risk it tbh, maybe get a bottle of something in the Duty Free at Amsterdam (its cheaper than singapore) and bring it with you.

Bring some carbon capsules, paracetamol, mosquito spray (with deet), sun cream and ibuprofen with you.

    You'll love it

Don't bother with Nusa Dua ... its just filled with International Hotels and people on package holidays from Australia
