Hey lads,Building a new rig for my brother. He wants to play games like Arma and Battlefield with me. Only thing is I have all the other parts chosen but i can't decide on his GPU. I use a GTX 670 FTW Signature 2 and i find it to be amazing,i planned on getting him the same card but it brings him 100 euro over his budget. I was looking at this as a substitute for the 670 in his build http://www.hardwareversand.de/2048+MB/63731/ASUS+GTX660+Ti-DC2-2GD5%2C+GeForce+GTX+660+Ti%2C+2048MB+DDR5.article

How much of a difference would there be between the two cards? Is the 670 going to be worth the extra 100 for him?

What about the 760? Meet halfway?

Nope, bang for buck definitely not worth it. 660ti is a great card and performs solidly in most games. The 7950 is better value at the moment though (there's one on Amazon for 245 delivered, check out arson alerts thread at this of page) and out performs the 660ti when overclocked by a decent margin.

Lol. Autocorrect. Bargain. 7950 is better value, but if you like Physx, fair enough. 660ti is still a good card.

I was just thinking, how do the 760 series fare compared to the 670? Looks interesting around the 250 price point although i can't find many youtube videos on them at all.

Edit, also what would be better value? 660TI or a 760? sorry for all the questions,I am guessing things on the little info i have for the 700 series

Personally I'd go for the 7950 as Gumbi said. Dropped in price significantly today.

As for 760 vs 66ti - I'd probably go for the 760 simply because it is a newer tech.

Thanks lads,im considering a 7950 for my next build,My brother wants a 760 tho. Would a CX600 PSU be enough for the 760? HWVS does not list the recomended power

Since you thinking of getting the 670 why not get the 770? it's the same price and the performance is a little better than the 680.

600 watts is more than what's needed for any single card setup.
