Freesat, the subscription-free satellite TV service, has today [JUNE 27] confirmed the launch of 4 on Demand on <free time>, offering viewers the last thirty days of catch up and many hours of archive from Channel 4.

Channel 4′s video on demand service joins the ranks of BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and YouTube on <free time>, and brings a wealth of new Channel 4 programming in addition to 4oD’s library of classic shows.

Anyone tried it from Ireland yet?

Indeed, I was quite hopeful that 4od would work as it does in the Republic on other platforms.

Why is it not working for us? On my humax freesat hdr 1000 I am getting geo location error. It does this even though it works fine on everything else. Is it freesat themselves doing this to stop none uk users benefitting?

Have Overplay and it doesn't work, only get a blank screen. Demand 5 doesn't seem to work either.

Demand 5 works with unotelly but it looks like a vpn is needed for 4od which is strange because 4od works fine in a browser.
