    hi all. i can see the route of sats 5 miler in phoenix park. but does anyone have a up/down profile for this route? just wondering what it is like etc.

    If the route is un-changed from previous years, you can check the 'route profiles' thread, which should have a GPS watch link.

    As I remember it from last year, its very flat to exactly halfway. At the 2.5 mile point you hit a very tough hil and there after its tough. I was 90 sec slower for 2nd half (12:31,13:55 aprox). I wouldn't consider it a pb course. Hope this helps, someone might provide gps profile.

    I trialled it last week, the first half is grand, very fast, but you will need to keep a lot in the tank for the second half

    yeah, you'll definitely want to bank some time in the first half, turning up military hill just after halfway will be a shock to some people.

    That hill at the end has caused me so much heart ache in so many races!! Really can emphasise how much respect you need to give it!!
