Raises/Pay in Software Development - Low Level

    I've read a few threads on salaries in the Software Engineering/Software Development sector. Expectations seem to vary a lot and there's also the added range or specialisation...

    So I'm wondering specifically what would those already working in the area of Software Engineering in Embedded or Firmware/Lower-Level programming think is an acceptable range of pay for ~5 years experience?

    Depends on location. London vs Galway etc.

    ok, Galway then. I think Dublin pays more than Galway.
