A graphics card for around 250 euro?

I need to upgrade from my faulty 7770. I'd like something that will play next gen games for at least 2 years. My psu has one 6 pin pcie connector and one 6+2 pcie connector. I was looking at the sapphire 7950 vapor x but it needs 2 pcie 8 pin and I'm not sure the molex adapters will deliver enough power.

I ordered an xfx 7870 tahiti LE from aria.co.uk but they have held my order untill I can provide extra information which I can't give them (driving license and a utility bill in my name which I don't have). So I have emailed them saying I want a refund but they have yet to reply to me.

If you could provide a link to where to buy the card that would be great as well.
Whatever is best for value.

I just looked it up and it seems like it may run a bit loud. Its a tad over budget but thats ok. I've also considered getting the new gtx 760 but I'm waiting for some consumer reviews.

EDIT: my mistake, I was looking at a crossfire x for that 7950 which is why it would be noisy. More reviews say its quite and cool, definitly something to consider now. Although it is the same price as the 760 when shipping is included.

Your budget is €250. It's under your budget. The card is far from loud as well. That dual-x cooler is pretty good.

The 760 is worth looking into but I doubt you will get one delivered for under €280.

Which PSU do you have and which CPU do you have ?

Both are important. The PSU so you don't overload your PSU which might result in serious damage to components.

The CPU so you don't pair a slow CPU with a high end GPU and vice versa which is wasted money in the end.

I'd either go with a 7970 or a GTX660 Ti if you have an Intel i5/i7 or an AMD FX-8XXX.

I have a 500w. I've decided to go with the new 760. I honestly like its features more than amd's and it's hard to find a good 7950 on scan and amazon.

You have to be careful.

If your PSU is not a branded one like Corsair, be quiet or others it says 500W because they just add up the wattages without load.
So it will only deliver 350W under load - especially heavy load while 3D gaming.

It might result in damaging components or system instability.
