    hoping to get a bit of advice here.I want to purchase my first road bike and have seen ridley orion on adverts in first couple of pages [i have no idea how to copy and paste!] anyway,was after opinions from people in the know .appreciate any thoughts

    Great bike , great value for money , that one on adverts is a great deal.

    If its the one i think it is on Adverts its not carbon and the group set is sora would not pay more than €400 for it

    im doing the ring of kerry,want it for that and to continue going out few times a week and weekends.at moment im on a borrowed bike to try get legs ready for rok

    its a decent frame I made an offer on it of €200 about 2 months ago I was going to use the frame for a winter build and put the group in the bin or sell it for €50 on Adverts but the OP's offer is about spot on any-more than that is to much

    In fairness with the arrogant replies the seller is dishing out now I wouldn't give him a penny .

    I know he has me barred from the ad when I offered him €200 he came on and said ye no problem he would sell me the saddle for that so I said OK €150 without the saddle as I have loads of saddles he then got upset and threw his toys out of the pram. his new bike must be a hand built frame coz its taken months for it to arrive

    This is a far better buy it has 105 groupset and at 400 is very good value

    Hello all
    I have seen a Ridley aedon 601 b on crc @half price, this will be my first road bike, is this a good starter bike or am i better off going to my local bike shop when its my first bike (have been cycling a mountain bike for 2 years). I woul like a giant but they are a bit out of my price range and not too sure about buying second hand, any thoughts :confused:
