Hey, I'm just wondering does anyone know anything about connecting at heathrow. It says on their website to follow the signs through the terminal for flight connections for a bus to T5. But the last time I flew with Aer Lingus to heathrow I remember that connecting passengers were asked to stay on the plane and they would be bussed straight to the terminal . Anyone know if this still happens ?

Connecting passengers still stay onboard, then jump a bus to the flight connections centre.

From there, a second bus will take you to T5.

When I flew Aerlingus to London and BA to the carribbean last November I had to make my own way to the terminal for the connecting flight. Bags etc were checked through from Dublin but there was no bus.

Maybe call them to make doubly sure, the last thing you want is to be rushing at the last minute.

Ask the cabin crew when boarding in Dublin, they will have the up to date info.

If you are checked in to your connecting flight, its defintely the bus to the central bus terminal, and a quick change on to T5.

We flew on a connecting ba flight from dublin to heathrow to korea last month. We were asked to stay on the plane at terminal 1 untill all other passengers got off then we were bused to a conecction station where you then get another bus to terminal 5.
When you get there you then follow the signs to a passport checkpoint and then up an escaaltor to security and then you are in terminal 5 airside.
There were plenty of information signs and staff around to give assistance on where to go etc
